Green Day and Todd's Day

I love the weekends! I wish weekends could last longer but maybe if they did, we would all take for granted how good weekends are. This past weekend we celebrated St. Patrick's Day and of course Todd's birthday. Friday night we went and got some sushi with MLP family; it was tasty and as always, fun. Todd opened his present from his parents early and low and behold, it was a waffle maker:). On Green day we made green waffles, green sausage and green milk. It was a lot of fun and I'm sure Hayden will get a kick out of it when he can actually eat... and know colors. I had a hard time drinking the green milk though. The rest of the day was spent at lunch with friends, shopping, dinner and more chatting with friends. It was the Todd show Sunday at church. He had to play the organ, teach a lesson and give a prayer. He would  have had to play the piano for a musical number but we ran out of time. We spent the rest of his birthday taking naps and eating cake (green cake I might add). All and all it was a great weekend and I think Todd had a good time saying goodbye to 25 and hello to 26... wow, he's getting old.

Hayden really didn't enjoy this photo shoot, it took a lot to get a smile out of him.

He spit up right after this picture, must have had an upset tummy. It was pretty funny though!

I'm obsessed!

So Todd showed me this video a couple of weeks ago and I am now obsessed with the song. It reminds me of something I would love (and apparently still do) in Jr. high and high school...

"Before you came into my life I missed you so bad" "So call me maybe" Love lyrics that don't really make since:)

Tagging Game

So my friend Stacie tagged me in a blog question thing. And since this is a lot more enjoyable than laundry and working out, I will do it:)

The rules are:

Post 11 random things about you, along with a picture.
Answer the 11 random questions you've been tagged to do.
Make up your own 11 random questions and tag others.

1. I really want to buy red pants next fall. I think they are so cute and along with that, I now like skinny jeans. I don't even care if they look good on me or not, they are cute and fun so I will buy them.
2. I dream about buying kitchen gadgets, especially when Todd emails me and says I can get something from Pampered Chef.
3. I fear that I may become a hoarder so every time I see "Buried Alive" I have to go clean out something and throw stuff away.
4. I like to pretend and look like I'm in shape. For example, I had to buy a Phil & Ted jogging stroller but I will never job with it. I like to wear workout clothes out and about occasionally, so people will say to themselves "Oh she just worked out, good for her" but really all I did was play "Just Dance" or my workout clothes just seemed comfortable.
5. If I could buy everything online all the time, I would. I love getting mail even if I already know what I'm getting; it's like getting presents.
6. I'm obsessed with bags under my eyes. I have been using eye cream since I was in 8th grade because I am so paranoid I will have the awful Dalton eyes. Plus I'm someone who needs like 10 hours of sleep and I never get it so my eyes are always puffy and dark. I'm constantly researching what products would work best to hid my gloomy eyes. I have come to the conclusion that getting sleep and surgery are the only way to avoid the Dalton eyes, but I will forever buy creams, concealers and brighteners to help me feel better.
7. I want Kardashian soft hair. Their hair is so shinny, soft, and pretty... I want it.
8. I used to think that people were crazy when they made baby food and made sure to only buy organic baby products... I am now one of those people.
9. I may have registered for the HGTV house everyday (and Todd too) and really, like really, we thought we would win... they haven't knocked on our door yet:(
10. I have come to terms that I will never have one of those bodies that get posted on Pinterest. I like food to much and working out to little.
11. This almost makes me non mormon but I don't believe in being crafty. Why make it when you can buy it?

Dream come true but have I ever mentioned I lost all my photos from that trip... not bitter...

1. If a movie was made about your life, who would you pick to play you and why?
Reese Witherspoon. I think she is so cute and so pretty and every time I get my hair done, I show the stylist her picture.
2. Your least favorite household chore is?
Laundry, that is why I am doing this:) It's laundry Tuesday
3. What would you love to be an expert on?
Baking! But maybe it's a good thing I am not an expert on it. Maybe I should say working out or being healthy or being a good mom, haha
4. If funding was unlimited, where/what would you do to better the world?
Buy every kid a house filled with books and make every parent go to parenting school. And build schools everywhere and get rid of all diseases and cancers.
5. How many pairs of shoes do you own? What is the most dominant style of shoe in your closet?
31 and sandals.
6. If you could live anywhere in the world (outside the U.S.) where would it be?
Rome
7. Name something on your bucket list?
My bucket list is pretty ridiculous. For example: own all the chocolate factories, ride a giraffe and raise an elephant.
8. How long did you believe in Santa? When/how did that change?
I still believe in Santa! Who else puts the presents under that tree? Parents? That's obsurbed. Haven't you ever read "Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus. "
9. Is there anything you are really paranoid/anal/OCD about?
I asked Todd this the other day and he just laughed and said there were too many. Ummm I have this fear of dying and people coming to my home to pack it up and clean it up. So every time I leave the house, I make sure my house is clean so if I die people will say "oh she is a good house keeper." That's normal! And it probably encompasses most my ocds.
10. Name something that would be in your dream house.
A porch swing:)
11. What would be your idea of a perfect day?
I'd have to say April 25. Because it's not to hot, and not to cold, all you need is a light jacket:) But really a day in the 70's filled with sunshine, shopping, food, family and friends and games in which I win.

Now my 11 Questions:
1. What is your favorite children's book?
2. Where is your favorite place to shop?
3. What is one of your favorite memories so far this year?
4. Who would play your spouse in a movie about your life?
5. What is a goal you want to accomplish this year?
6. What is your favorite movie you've seen recently?
7. What is one thing you would change about yourself and one thing you really like about yourself?
8. If you could see anyone at this moment who would it be and why?
9. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
10. Name one guilty pleasure?
11. One place you love to go a lot?

People tagged.... ummmmmmm....
Shelly Altom, Alycia Altom, Jacquelinne Altom, Mindy Wohlford... I know you all are dying to do this;)

5 Months Young

Oh my little boy is growing up too fast. Hayden celebrated his 5 month birthday yesterday. His morning started early at 6:30 by heading to work with dad. Once a month on a Saturday morning, Wal-Mart has a meeting where they have guest speakers. Emilio Estevez was the guest speaker and while Todd and Hayden were wandering the halls, Emilio came out of some doors and said hi to Todd and Hayden. Five months old and he is already meeting famousish people. Later we went shopping, ate some good food and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine.

Hayden's current news is, well he is growing, still small but growing. He enjoys sucking his two fingers, sucking his toes (sucking anything really), sitting in his jumper, going on walks, and bath time. He is still going strong on the rolling over thing and is working hard on sitting up by himself. Hayden has also enjoyed time away from his parents by being babysat. He still is his same, sweet, little self that we absolutely love. I find my self constantly saying how cute he is and how much I love him; he's the best.

In other news, ummm we got nothing. Haha. Todd's birthday is next week, he's getting so old. Hopefully next week and weekend bring exciting stuff. Enjoy the week!

Here are our new side tables. After two months of Todd being gone a lot of nights, they are done and beautiful! We also have a new headboard. Slowly but surely we are re-doing our bedroom.

Our lamps are a little small but oh well, that's what happens when you buy lamps before the side tables. I also am wanting to get whicker baskets on the bottom shelf and I need a picture frame on my side, Todd of course doesn't want anything on his side. They are so nice and having a big drawer is great!!
