Hayden 18 Months

Blog?
It seems like ages since I last blogged, but it has only been 5 months, not bad. We are currently down in Utah, and while I wait to make sure Hayd is sound asleep before I take a shower, I thought I'd post some cute pics of the cute kid.
Life is crazy, and moving fast at the Altom's these days. We started finishing our living room in the basement a month ago. We only have paint and carpet to do and then we can move in the furniture we bought about a month and a half ago. Todd and I are painting the basement so it is taking a tad longer than we would like. We also painted our bedroom, again, but now I love the color so hopefully I won't change my mind for a loooooonnnnnggg time. We are also making some improvements in our yard. We have sprinklers, got our dirt leveled, and laid sod in the front. This next weekend we will be planting our flower bed in the front of the house. We hopefully will be putting seed down in the back once it is consistently warm and a little less windy (little less windy? Idaho? haha). Home ownership is a lot a work, but we are getting closer to getting things completed, and we love our house.
In other news, we said good-bye to our wonderful 4runner. This car was the first big purchase Todd and I ever did, and it has seen us through a lot of adventures. I thought we could keep it for a lot longer (like forever), but Todd was worried if we waited any longer, it would be really hard to sale. It was a 2003 with 121,000 plus miles, but I loved it. I think I'm still in shock that we don't have it anymore, but sometimes, ya just gotta move on. We bought a Toyota Highlander a couple of days ago. It is sliver, with a third row seat and half the miles of our 4runner. I think it will be great car, but it's not my 4runner. I do like driving it though; I feel like I'm driving a legit mom car now. Tear for our 4runner but excited for all the new adventures in this new car.
